Happy April, Readers!
It has been such a blessing to have the sunshine out and the flowers and trees bursting in bloom! I’ve even been out on my riding mower a couple of times. I’m dying to get my hands dirty in the flower beds, but my husband and daughter keep a tight reign on me so I don’t “over do it.” Luckily, many of my plantings don’t need any help from me. Here are so blooms for you!
I’m in the process of getting my thyroid straightened out, which has been interesting … I was thrilled with the blood test results I got the other day! My cholesterol hasn’t been that low in years! I was celebrating that fact and sharing the news with my daughter, when she stopped and said, “Um, Mom? These are Dad’s results, not yours.” 🙄 Such is life. At least I keep them laughing.
Bunny News:
My husband and I attended a rabbit show in Yakima, WA a couple weeks ago, and it was a blast. Our daughter was housesitting, so she didn’t go. My babies, Pip and Emma didn’t fair too well. They’re still in their baby coats, but the judges love their cute factor. Too bad they don’t give points for cuteness. But my Ruby-eyed white doe, Puff, won Best of Breed in show one! Really it was only because the best REW was too fat, but I’ll take the win anyway. The judges in the last two shows didn’t notice, so she beat my Puff… But I have to admit, she was a beauty.
I’ve been working on two sweaters, one for each daughter. Here’s a picture of the one that is finished.
Writing News:
I’m very happy with the revisions I’ve made on Dreams and Deceptions, Book Two in the Gabrielle Dorian Mystery Series. I’ve only got a few more chapters and then it’s back to the editor. Let’s hope she is happy, too.😁
Dreams and Illusions continues to win awards, so I’m praying the next book will be even better.
My plan was to send a draft of Dreams and Deceptions to my ARC next week. Unfortunately, there was no response to my last newsletter offering a free short story, so I’ve had to reevaluate. Setting up an ARC program is very labor intensive, especially when you struggle with health issues. The last newsletter told me that my effort and time would not be fruitful in getting feedback or reviews, so I’m discontinuing the program for now. This may change in the future. For now, I will keep you all posted on the launch of Dreams and Deceptions, tentatively set for July. The first week of the launch the ebook will be available for only 99 cents, so you won’t want to miss that. Paperbacks will be available as well.
Until next time, happy reading!
