Hello!
I was blown away by the response of all of you who joined my ARC team! What a blessing! Thank you!
I have received the manuscript for Dreams and Deceptions back from my editor, who claims she loved it … but there is work to do. I knew there would be, but I still curled up in bed and ate chocolate for a couple days. Her list of notes was almost as long as the manuscript! That’s what you get when you hire a top-notch editor. The truth. 🙄
But I’m over myself now, and ready to make this book the best it can be. As you know, I had planned on releasing this book next month, but I’ve decided that quality is better than speed, so, now, we’re looking at next spring at the latest. I’ll keep you posted.
I also have my nonfiction book to get to my other editor, so there’s that …
In other writing news, I got a big surprise in the mail yeaterday. Focus on the Family reprinted one of my Bible stories (“A Second Chance”) in their new kids’ New Testiment Bible Book! Hurray! Isn’t it beautiful? I’ll put a link in the pics, so you can take a closer look.
The best news of all is that I’m a grandma! Little darling, Aurelia Daisy was born on October 2, and I’m on top of the world. I just had to crochet her a pumpkin hat. Life is good.
I’m enjoying the cooler temperatures, and even getting a little yardwork done. It’s going to be a busy couple of months. This weekend I’ll be attending my first quilters’ retreat (YEA!) and next weekend, we all head to Louisville, Kentucky, for the 101st American Rabbit Breeders Convention! Our daughter will be competing in Royalty for her last time, and I’m so excited for her. I also will be bringing home three new bunnies! My daughter raises Agouti colored Jersey Woolies, but I’ve always wanted some shaded varieties liked smoke pearl, and I’ve finally found some! Below are pics for comparison of Shadeds and Agoutis.
Our prayers are going out to those who are being affected by the hurricanes. I just heard from my brother in Florida, and they are all safe. I pray for safety and provision for these families, and blessings on those aiding them. The devastation breaks my heart. Praying you all are safe!
Until next time, happy reading!
Rebecca
